Beef Lamb Gyro

Ingredients

  • 2 pound ground lamb
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 finely diced yellow bell pepper
  • 2 tablespons garlic oil
  • 1.5 tablespoon rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1.5 teaspoon cumin
  • 1.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3 tablespoons dry bread crumbs

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all ingredients in bowl minus oil.
  3. Add mixture to oiled and parchment papered baking dish.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes or internal temp of at least 160.
  5. Cool to room temp then refridgerate.
  6. Slice and brown in oil to serve with pita, tzatziki, lettuce, tomato, pickled onion.
